Community Mourns the Untimely Passing of Beautifull Sanchez, 18, of Fitchburg, Remembered for Her Vibrancy and Spirit
FITCHBURG, Mass. — The sudden passing of 18-year-old Beautifull Sanchez on June 7, 2025, has left the Fitchburg community in deep mourning. A bright, compassionate soul with an unshakable determination, Beautifull’s death has shaken the hearts of her family, friends, and the city that knew her.
Beautifull, a 2024 graduate of Fitchburg High School, was a rising star at Fitchburg State University, where she was pursuing a degree in Human Services. Her life was already filled with promise, both academically and athletically. Known for her infectious positivity, she excelled on the women’s basketball team and the university’s flag football team. Her professors and coaches have shared their grief, remembering her as someone who brought energy and joy to all her endeavors. “She had a heart that could move mountains,” one coach said, while a professor described her as “the embodiment of dedication and leadership.”
Her presence, on and off the court, was impossible to ignore. At Fitchburg High School, Beautifull was celebrated for her athletic prowess, her humor, and the deep loyalty she showed to her friends and family. Teachers fondly remembered her as a “light in the classroom,” and coaches often referred to her as a player who never gave up, always hustling, no matter the challenge.
Those who knew her best were left heartbroken by her passing. Her mother, Jennifer Graves, and her sister, Yanalyse Sanchez, are left grappling with the profound loss. Yanalyse has since organized a GoFundMe campaign to support funeral expenses and alleviate the financial burden on the family. “We’re just devastated,” said Yanalyse in a post. “Her energy, her kindness—there’s no replacing that.”
A close family member also shared a heartfelt tribute on social media: “Beautifull Sanchez, my sweet cousin… I’m lost for words. You will be truly missed. I love you so much. Now you’re up in heaven with Grandma and your dad. R.I.P.”
