The incident occurred early on a quiet Saturday morning as a truck was backing into a parking space at the travel stop located at 17-40 East Harlan Avenue. Amanda was struck by the vehicle during this maneuver, and despite emergency responders’ efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
