Dylan C. Knowles, 25, Tragically Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident in Augusta County, VA
Dylan C. Knowles, a 25-year-old resident of Waynesboro, Virginia, tragically lost their life on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in a hit-and-run accident in Augusta County.
The incident occurred around 9:00 p.m. when a Kia Sorrento collided with an e-bike Dylan was riding along Stuarts Draft Highway (Route 340). Despite the immediate response by authorities, Dylan was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Kia, identified as 36-year-old Samuel W. Call of Waynesboro, fled the scene after the collision. However, with the assistance of the Waynesboro Police Department, Call was apprehended shortly thereafter. He has been charged with driving while intoxicated and felony hit-and-run. Authorities have stated that further charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
Dylan's tragic passing has left the Waynesboro community in shock and mourning. Friends and family have expressed their condolences on social media, offering support and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
